WiP- Sleeping Cedars

Another post already?  Look at me!  I’m blogging!

We spent the weekend at my parent’s house which meant lots of car knitting time as well as a bit of knitting time in their backyard while my Mom, aka Nana, enjoyed the kiddos and their silly antics.

It was so nice to have a helping hand with the girls and visiting with family and friends is awesome since my life up here is pretty lonely. Okay. Very lonely. I DO get to interact with two special little ladies all day, everyday, but the oldest is only 3, so our conversations sometimes lack substance. 😉

Where was I?

Oh, right. This is a post about a work-in-progress. Here it is:

I realize this phone pic is less than stellar and my WiP has been carelessly flopped out onto a beach chair, but it’s the best I have.

This is Sleeping Cedars knit in MadTosh’s  “Silver Fox” colorway. The cozy sleepsack is going to keep Baby #3 warm and snug all winter long. It has a big size window (nb-6mo) and I’ve had small babies so far (fingers crossed that this trend continues), so I’ll be shocked if it doesn’t last from October to March/April.

In 15 days we find out the sex of our newest addition. After that, I’ll decide what color to knit the drawstring cord for the bottom.

  1. This is going to be adorable. It *almost* makes me wish for a third of my own.

    • Haha! Thanks! I’m loving it so far.

I have a feeling three kids are going to be quite a handful. Goodness, some days I struggle with just two. 😉

  2. Oh I wish I could car knit without getting sick. Your project is looking fabulous.

    • Andrea, I’m just the opposite. If I don’t knit or read, I end up with a horrible migraine. I can’t look out the window too much, so knitting keeps my eyes occupied.

  3. It’s so cute! I love it :)
